Printer Notes: Historically, the 24th Lithography Workshop was owned by Fedor Kibbel' prior to Soviet nationalization. It was located at Kronverkskaia and Mir Streets in St. Petersburg (Petrograd). By the 1930s, this workshop became the 24th Lithography Workshop of Ogiz (Association of State Book and Magazine Publishers) and it was managed by the Poligrafkniga (Book and Magazine Printing) Trust.

Publisher Notes: In 1923, the Union of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies of the USSR was formed. The union included 11 Red Cross societies in the Soviet Republics along with four Red Crescent societies. Activities were administered in accordance with the union’s charter. Local branches had volunteer nurses, health-station personnel, and volunteer public health inspectors. The union participated in the work of the International Red Cross, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and in hospitals of the Soviet Red Cross located in developing nations.
