Artist: Ivanov, Viktor Semenovich — Иванов, Виктор Семёнович
Poster Notes: In 1957, the KPSS was not wholly united. In June, the Anti-Party Group unsuccessfully tried to depose Nikita Khrushchev as First Secretary of the Party. The group was led by former Premiers Georgy Malenkov, Viacheslav Molotov, the former First Deputy Chairman Lazar Kaganovich and the current Foreign Minister Dmitri Shepilov. The group's main complaint was that it rejected Khrushchev's opening of society and his 1956 denunciation of Joseph Stalin.
