Poster Notes: Komsomol was the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League. First called the Russian Young Communist League (RKSM) but with the unification of the U.S.S.R. in 1922, the organization was made an all-union entity and it became the youth division of the All-Union Communist Party. Komsomol was the final tier of the three youth organizations in the U.S.S.R. The second tier was the Young Pioneers for members aged 14 to 28. Prior to Pioneers, children entered (at 7 to 9 years of age) into the Octobrists. The background building is the Russian State Museum on Red Square in Moscow.
