This is one of a series printed in various languages from the era of tension along the Russo-Chinese border following the creation of the Japanese Manchu State in Manchuria, China. The image of the soldier in the background of three seen on this poster is likely of Evenk (Tungus) or Manchu origin. Evenks are indigenous people of the areas along the Sino-Soviet border.
