There is little published information available on the artist P. Abramov. The artist is cited in Butnik-Siverskii's Sovetskii plakat epokhi grazhdanskoi voiny, 1918–1921 (Moscow, 1960) and in Polonskii's Russkii revolyutsionnyi plakat (Moscow 1925) which are perhaps the most comprehensive references on Russian Civil War posters, however only the first initial of the artist is indicated in both works.
