Man with the sword is Baron Peter Nikolaevich Wrangel' (1878-1928), one of the most dedicated leaders of the White Russian movement after World War I. He fought against the Bolshevik forces.

Dmitrii Stakhievich Moor (birth surname Orlov) was born into the family of a mining engineer and did not receive formal artistic education. After moving to Moscow in 1898, and between 1902 and 1906, he actively participated in the city’s revolutionary movement, specifically taking part in the failed 1905 Revolution. Located in the Chistye Prudy neighborhood at 14 Myl'nikov Lane (a.k.a. Zhukovskii Street); the 5th State Typolithography Workshop was the Russian Partnership prior to its nationalization.
