Nikolai Ivanovich Tereshchenko was a Soviet painter and graphic artist. In his youth, Tereshchenko and his family moved to Moscow. In 1939, he graduated from MGKhI (Moscow Secondary Art School). During the Second World War, Tereshchenko was evacuated to the village of Voskresenka in the Bashkorostan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. Plakat (All-Union Poster) was created in 1974 in Moscow through the work of the Union of Artists and the Central Committee of the Communist Party. The chief of its poster department was Dmitry Akimovich Isaev. Plakat publishers existed until 1991 whereupon it was renamed Panorama publishers.
