There is little published information available on the artist Viktor Petrovich Kucherenko. He worked in Voroshilovgrad (Luhansk) for a majority of his life and graduated from the Kiev State Art Institute in 1965. Kucherenko is known for his industrial landscapes and narrative paintings. He participated in Republican exhibitions such as the Jubilee Art Exhibition held on the anniversary of the Ukrainian SSR (1969). In 1970, Viktor Petrovich Kucherenko became a member of the Union of Artists of the Ukrainian SSR.
