Aleksei Alekseevich Kapitan was a Soviet graphic artist. He also was the brother of Leonid Kapitan, a noted mosaic designer in the Soviet Union. Aleksei Kapitan graduated in 1955 from the Kiev Art Institute where he studied under Vasili Il’ich Kasiian, the celebrated Ukrainian painter and graphic artist.
